March 30th, the sun is back and the mild temperature allow for hanging around the community: such a day without wind is a true pleasure. -
Sun on the bay (9)
One of the very sunny day over Frobisher Bay, close to Iqaluit community. -
A good tide exemple (9)
While today is low amplitude tide of 9,60 meters -twice a month it goes up to 11,70 meters- this is an ideal example of what are the tides in Frobisher Bay. The sea with a 2 meters ice layer goes up and down twice a day along this natural wall. -
Iqaluit- Kimmirut 2008 race (9)
The race arrived finaly at 2330 this Sunday 23th night with a blizzard warning in effect. Right on time! -
Happy birthday Kimma (11)
Kimma is 3 months old today. She is fit, happy and love boating in the ice. -
The wheelhouse or the freezer? (6)
As I don't need to heat the wheelhouse, I have been using it as an easily accessible fridge/freezer for 4 months now. Average temp. have been -18C inside. But the sun is back. How long it will last? -

Discover the city of Iqaluit. As the light is back and the temp. increase during the day, it's now easier to have a better look at the city. -
A warm void (9)
While the tides were high, the ice broke around Aurora Magnetica and I had the chance to have a look under the boat. -
Tidal feeria (13)
The highest tides of the month flow on the top of the ice. Layer after layer, it build an impressive 3 meter ice blanket, to date. At -38C, the sea water freeze immediately. One hour later, you can walk on it. -
